Business Administration or Accountancy
15-18 months duration – based in Nailsea
An exciting opportunity has arising for an apprenticeship with Tyntesfield Medical Group in Nailsea to commence at the earliest opportunity. There is no upper age limit preventing a person being accepted onto the apprenticeship later in life.
Hours and benefits
37.5hrs per week - £5 per hour in first year rising to £8.26 after one year.
4 weeks leave plus Bank Holidays, rising to 5 weeks plus Bank Holidays if retained after completion of the apprenticeship.
The role includes 20% off the job training with day release attendance at Weston College leading to a level 3 qualification in Business Administration or Accountancy.
Working primarily within the Finance Team at least 20% of your time will be spent receiving off the job training and for the Business Administration apprentice experience working in other teams including reception and general administration roles alongside your attendance at college. The successful applicant will learn about the various roles that make a General Practice Surgery function and will work towards achieving a level 3 qualification in Business Administration or Accountancy. The skills and knowledge developed will be readily transferrable into a wide variety of business settings.
After 12 months the successful applicant will be able to apply for any relevant emerging vacancies within Tyntesfield Medical Group at one of the four surgeries in Nailsea, Backwell and Long Ashton and if successful complete their apprenticeship having also secured permanent employment with us thereafter.

4 GCSE’s, equivalent or higher qualifications including English and Maths (a letter of projected grades from a school would be accepted in lieu of confirmed results).
Where required, including when evidence of academic qualifications cannot be produced, acceptance onto the apprenticeship programme could be confirmed upon successful completion of a basic English and Maths examination set by the apprenticeship programme with the college.
A good working knowledge of Microsoft IT packages – Word, Excel and Powerpoint are highly desirable.
Appointment is also dependent upon passing a Disclose and Barring Service vetting check.
